101 NEW BEGINNER: You have no previous Spanish experience, or have some basic notions of the language and/or know some every-day words (‘hola’, ‘gracias’, etc.). Perhaps you have had some Spanish in the past, but would like to start from the beginning.
A1 BEGINNER: You are able to communicate to some extent with simple phrases, albeit speaking slowly, about topics concerning everyday life in the present tense. You know greetings/introductions, numbers, and colors, for example.
A2 HIGH BEGINNER: You are able to communicate with a certain fluidity with a teacher or a non-native person, using the present tense for habitual actions and can refer to concrete and general experiences in the past (present perfect and indefinite).
B1 INTERMEDIATE: You can carry a fairly fluid conversation with a native speaker about daily situations: family, shopping, occupations, travels etc., with some limitations in formal or complex situations. You can refer to all maner of the present, past (present perfect, indefenite, imperfect), as well as future. You are able to understand much of radio and TV programs.
B2 HIGH INTERMEDIATE: You can carry fluid conversations on a wide range of topics, be they related to work, studies, or leisure with native speakers. You are able to describe experiences, events, wishes, aspirations, justifiy your opionions, or explain your plans. You can also evoke imaginary situations and opine or express opionions about them. With time to reflect, you can speak without errors.
C1 ADVANCED: You speak correctly combining verb forms naturally, linking words, conjunctions, prepositions and have a substantial vocabulary. You can communicate fully in personal and complex situations such as business or politics. Your goal is to refine and get closer to native fluency.
