Spanish Courses for Children and Adolescents
General Description
Spanish courses designed for children ranging from 7 to 13 years old promoting learning through the use of dynamic, participative and entertaining activities which engage the 5 senses and allow for the free communication of ideas with classmates and ultimately with family and community.
The Classroom
Activities include edcucational games, orginal songs in Spanish, conversations based on topics of interest, videos, reading interesting and varied books, and creative writing.
Classroom activities spring from students’ interests and involve them in the Spanish language through fun learning strategies appropriate to thier level of development and Spanish fluency.
Communicative and Intercultural Approach
Children will learn Spanish incorporationg all 4 forms of learning acquisition: speaking, listening, writing, and reading; with the aim of communicating thier thoughts and feelings with clarity.
They will learn to use the rules and funcitons of the language in comunicative stituations in order to express thier ideas, make themselves understood and understand those around them.

GROUPS
Beginner - 10 weeks, 20 hours (For New Beginners)
Start Date: 1/18, 2012*. Mons & Weds, 4:45-5:45pm $550
Advanced Beginner - 10 weeks, 10 hours (have had some Spanish before)
Start Date: 1/17, 2012*. Tuesdays, 4:45-5:45pm $280**
